MEMORANDUM TO: Taro Terashi, Hakuto Co. Ltd. Fax to tel. 011-81-3-354-8608 FROM: Keith M. Corbett DATE: 29-Jan-88 SUBJ: Questions from SECOM In response to your fax today: 1. I am not sure we are understanding each other regarding the ability to invoke window functions within Telnet. I can instantiate, select, activate, and expose a window on the Lambda from within the Telnet user process. But I cannot think of any sense in which a user within Telnet can then "perform normal functions" with that window -- they would have to go to the Lambda screen. Can you describe, in more detail, what they are trying to do? 2. There are four special interrupt characters that can be used within the Telnet server: is the Abort key; works as an interrupt Abort, in most situations, to interrupt a running program. which functions for the most part as an "Abort-All". Used, for example, to abort out of the error handler. Does not interrupt a running program. displays process status. : forces a keyboard break into the error handler. The key breaks out of Telnet to process Telnet commands; press - to see the command list. I hope this is helpful. KMC
