LMI TECHNICAL BULLETIN Title: SOFTWARE VERSIONS AND DEPENDENCIES Author: Keith Corbett Date: 3/27/87 Attached is a chart showing the LMI software products and revisions in relation to pre-requisite software. Following the chart is an index which describes each of the products on the chart, including status information and, where available, part numbers for tapes. The chart should be read top-down. Each box (or set of brackets, []) contains a software product or group of products, and the boxes point down toward valid pre-requisite system software revisions. For example, to show that TCP/IP version 1.5 must be loaded on version 1.4, the chart shows [TCP/IP 1.4] \/ [TCP/IP 1.4] Layered LISP software products such as [Vista] are listed at the top, grouped together for both 2.0 and 3.0 LISP. Further down are the pre-requisite LISP revisions (such as "102.187") and Unix. At the bottom are the 2.0 root and 3.0 boot software. Some software revisions have hardware co-requisites; for example, the Laser1+ software requires the HP LaserJet Plus printer upgrade. These co-requisites are pointed to with arrows, for example [Laser1+]>>>{HP/LaserJet+} Finally, the following notes appear as comments on some of the LISP and Unix sub-options: **Not/avail = Not yet available in this revision. **Beta test = Product is undergoing field test or final in-house review **Built-in = Software item comes with system software (e.g., built into the LISP band) **In sources = Item is distributed with LISP sources, not built-in -- do MAKE-SYSTEM to load. **Special order = Available on special request
