For the users of X Window System, Version 11 Release 2:

Now we can find the source of kterm in the contrib volume of the
release 2 distribution. However, it is based on the xterm of release
1 and you wish to use -display option. Then use this patch!

This version of kterm has the following features:
	accept -display and -geometry options
	Kana character set is supported
bugs in Paste operation in EUC/SJIS mode are fixed
I tested it on SUN3 running on SUN OS 3.5. I did not test on any other
machines/OS revision. I got a report that `kterm' made on SUN OS
3.3 does not run well.

Kterm uses `a14', `k14', `kana14' as the default fonts. I hope they
can be found in fonts directory in release 2 or later.

Current version do not support autholized inter-client communication
method. It only support Cut&Paste operations with XStoreBuffer() and
XFetchBuffer(). The string in the cut buffer is represented in 7bit
with escape sequences, and you can cut&paste English characters
between xterm in release 2 and this kterm. This part should be
rewritten completely when the standard of inter-client communication
method including international text handling is fixed.

I guess many bugs are still alive in it. I am very much appreciated
that you can send the bug report or bug fix to me.
Please note that `kterm' was initially developed by Mr. Sano in
Tokyo Institute of Technology and statusline function has been
added by Mr. Irie in Sony Corporation. Mr. Makoto Ishisone in SRA
Inc. and other members of JUS X Window Working Group have
contributed in improvement of `kterm'. A set of font, a14, k14,
r14, and kana14 is developed by Hiroshi Tachibana in Astec Corp.

Some bugs might be introduced when the diffs are merged into xterm
of release 2. They are not intended by Mr. Sano nor by Mr. Irie,
but are prodeduced by Kato.
