Backed by many decades of practiced industry experience, Dr. Benghiat founded
and served as CEO of Syscon Development Corporation, Centerpointe Technologies
and Northport Technologies, whilst also doing business as Syscon Consulting,
providing PC design services as principal engineer. At the beginning of his
career, Dr. Benghiat found success through engineering and executive roles with
Marconi Space and Defense, Fairchild Semiconductor, and OSM computer
Corporation.

Dr. Benghiat, a British citizen, believes that coming to America with just $50
in his pocket, working for himself and making major contributions to the early
PC industry remains his proudest achievements. Throughout the 80's and early
90's Dr. Benghiat designed state of the art PC Motherboards and Chipsets which
were licensed to numerous corporations, including Northgate, Everex, VIA
Technologies, Santa Clara Systems, Novell, Hyundai, Samsung, The Motherboard
Factory, Synergistic Computers, DTK and many more.
