Abstract: Beginning courses in statistics may require students to group the raw data for presentation in a frequency table. The descriptive statistics developed from the grouped table will differ from ungrouped statistics. The program FREQ presents the grouped frequency table for up to 200 entries, using any grouping interval selected by the user. Also, the standard descriptive statistics are reported for that particular grouping interval. No data is stored. VIDEO is a passive viewing program, primarily for entertainment. It demonstrates symmetrical patterns, no two alike; an extravaganza of possibilities based on cursor control and randomly generated printing characters. VIDEO is also a good introduction to VIDEOI and VIDE02. VIDEOI is an interactive program that produces abstract art-related displays. T'he user decides type of symmetry (or no symmetry), the length of lines and other variables. VIDEOI is a good introduction to the computer art at the college level, and requires no graphics terminal. VIDEOI requires a CRT terminal with cursor control. VIDE02 is an interactive program that produces abstract art-related displays. VIDE02 can he run on a printing terminal since it does not use cursor control functions. The user sets parameters for the symmetry, printing characters, and other variables. Academic departments must maintain files on their Major graduates. Current addresses are important, and information about careers must be up-dated. GRADS creates a file in Record I/O for 200 departmental graduates, and will also print out mailing labels. The program GRADZE zeroes the file GRADS.FIL created by GRADS.BAS.

Restrictions: FREQ is limited to 200 entered values.
